Different challenges.
The same determination.
Budget 2026 Debate Round-Up ·
From navigating the pandemic to finding our way with generative AI, Nanyang Inc’s journey has been shaped by a team willing to persevere, adapt and keep moving forward.
Some moments give us a reason to pause and reflect on how far we have come. For Nanyang Inc, seeing our tents in the presentation during National Day Rally 2022, and hearing our company mentioned in the 2026 Budget Debate Round-Up Speech, are two such moments.
Looking back at a challenging chapter
During National Day Rally 2022, then Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong spoke about Singapore’s response to the pandemic. Images shown during the speech included tents supplied by Nanyang Inc for the pandemic facilities.
For our team, that image carries memories of one of the most difficult periods we have faced as a business. It reminds us of the work behind the scenes and the people who kept going through uncertainty.
Moving forward with GenAI
On 26 February 2026, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong mentioned Nanyang Inc and our colleague Angeline Tan during the Budget Debate Round-Up Speech, in the context of embracing generative AI.
We are grateful for that acknowledgement. As a traditional tentage business, integrating GenAI into complex, manual and constantly changing workflows has taken effort. It has meant learning, adapting and continuing through challenges rather than expecting change to happen easily.
In different ways, this chapter has demanded the same determination that helped us through the pandemic. The challenges have changed; our willingness to face them together remains.
The people behind the progress
What makes these moments meaningful is the team behind them. Every step forward rests on people who are prepared to learn, adjust and try again.
We are thankful for their heart work and hard work—for the care they bring to the business, and for the persistence that keeps us moving. We also appreciate the support and encouragement we have received along the way.
Our journey with GenAI is still unfolding. We share these moments with gratitude, and with a renewed commitment to keep learning and improving together.
